Q: How do I know if you are teaching and it’s raining by my house?
Afternoon storms are a fact of life in Florida. They usually move in quickly and move out quickly. If we must cancel a class we will contact you via phone call, text and/or email as soon as we know that we must cancel. We try and make the decision to cancel about an hour in advance to catch families before getting in the car. That does not always happen because of the fast-moving storms. Please make sure the main phone number on your account is one that we can easily reach you.
Feel free to also call us at 407-415-9720. If we do not answer that means, we are in the water teaching and the weather is clear in our area.
Our lighting policy is if lighting is within a 6-mile range of the pool. We do have a lighting meter that will tell us when this occurs and when it is safe to re enter the pool.
Q: Do you offer make-ups for missed classes?
NO! Because of the nature of our classes, it is hard to schedule make up classes as all our instructors are booked.
If we are forced to cancel a group class due to weather, illness, or pool chemical issue we will cancel the class in the software and a credit for (paid) classes will be placed into your online account to be used for a later class.
NOTE: A employee of Lane 4 Swim School MUST be the one to cancel the class due to weather. The 24-Hour Cancelation policy will be in effect for any lesson Lane 4 Swim School does not cancel.

Q: How long does my child attend lessons?
Some parents choose to enroll their children in just a month of classes, others choose to have their children in classes every month we are open (Feburary – October). The more consistently your child is exposed to water, the more comfortable and well-rounded swimmer they will become. Our swim lesson levels have been developed with the intent for children to be exposed to the class 8-16 times before they can successfully complete the skills and are ready for the next level. Please be aware that every child learns at their own pace and some may need little longer to learn the skills than others.
